Are you packin?!

This is seriously THE cutest frog EVER... This new species was just discovered in Borneo and they are super tiny! They cover about 1/4 of a pinky nail and they were just discovered this week. I think its truly amazing how we still are discovering new species of animals. These little creatures were found in the pitcher plants that gather water. It just made me take a step back and realize how amazing our world is and how intricate and beautiful it is.

Cause Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night

So... I found a couple wedding dresses I LOVE... and I am normally not the one to be all mormon-meets-crazy-bride and all but I just had to share.

This one I love... a little bit of inspiration for me...

Now this next dress I completely fell in love with when I saw. I got a magazine to look through for picture ideas and my mom was looking through it and said that this dress reminded her of me... and its totally true. I haven't found a dress since that quite fits me... So perhaps in a couple years, you will see me in it... haha

Cage matches are a fabulous thing...

So, I feel like I haven't written on here in FOREVER! Basically, I am done with school and currently just working at the MTC. I am trying to find another job in addition to or instead of the MTC job because I need to be working more hours... so, that is the current situation. I am also an FHE mom now in my ward, so that is going good... Its a lot of fun...

So, I'll keep it a bit short tonight and just wrap up with a movie that I recently saw... The Killers! I have been waiting to see it, and it was almost as good as I hoped. The ending was kind of anti-climactic, so you are left with some anticipation and confusion at the end. Up until that point though, the movie is hilarious and Kutcher and Heigl have the funniest chemistry and they are hilarious together. This movie gave me a new respect for Kutcher and his amazingly smokin bod... he always is pulling his gun out of the back of his pants or putting it away and everytime they have a close-up shot of his booty! And its a great one if I do say so myself! Haha, well, just my thoughts on the movie, let me know what you thought!

Typical Wednesday...

So, I am starting the new HCG diet... its HARD! Ah! The first two days you "load" which means you eat all the fats and delicious foods that you wouldn't normally stuff your face with. Today is the second day of "loading" and tomorrow the hardest part starts. I am essentially eating 500 calories a day- very strict and boring foods. And it goes for the rest of the month. Hopefully I will be able to lose some weight and be more healthy! So, I will probably rant about how its going but I will post the results at the end of the month.

Wednesday nights are filled with Glee and Parenthood... (since I watch them on Hulu)

Glee: I liked this week... Glee is definitely not my favorite show I watch but I do like the music and the showcase of the stereotypical high school teens. I loved Ice Ice Baby- one of my favorites (*confession!) So yes, overall it was alright... I always LOVE Emma's wardrobe... I want her clothes- and her flowers tonight... gorgeous!

Parenthood- I love Crosby and Jasmine together and Jabar is about the cutest little boy I have ever seen! I thoughtthe news about Zeich's other woman wasn't anything new... but you do have to feel for the mom. Nothing good is going to come out of Hattie's ex dating her cousin which is where it seems this is headed... Overall a more serious episode but I did enjoy it.

By the way, I know that all of these characters don't exist in real life... haha... no worries. But today I discovered I know what I shall name my one and only daughter... Aniline. Yes, this is an organic chemistry functional group, but I like it. Also, I think I want to marry this Elder in the MTC! He is my absolute favorite, and good looking too ;) My cousin actually introduced us, and she wants us to write to each other... Haha, gotta love sister missionaries when they have no romantic lives themselves....

Catching Up...

Alright... so, I have a lot to catch up on! I haven't been on in forever... Well, recap of my life in the past little while...
-I now work at the MTC! It is amazing, I work in the sister missionary dorms and it is the best job ever... only downside is that I work at 6 in the morning!
-I discovered while working at the MTC that I have a cousin I didn't know about! Her name is Rachel and we are basically twins except her glasses are cooler than mine.

-Winter semester ended and Spring began! I am taking Chem 285 (Organic and Biochemistry) and History of Creativity- definitely not easy classes seeing as I am not very creative... Also, my Chemistry professor looks exactly like Tina Fey... which if you know me at all, (I am a total fan) does not help me pay attention.

-Also, recap on last semester... on my last English paper, my professer totally called me on the phone to tell me that my paper was the best paper he had ever read... amazing compliment.

-I moved! I am in a new apartment off campus, but actually closer in campus than my last one... and I have my first roommate! We will see how this goes, she is from Korea!

-I am totally behind on posting pictures up! Ah, its so bothering me!

So yep, this is me right now... I am going to try to post something everyday... hopefully. This is my goal. But recap on this weekend... I went to see the new movie Date Night, with Julia and Bethanie... Can I just say AMAZING! Loved every minute of it. Whoever put these two together came up with something that should have been done a LONG time ago... I absolutely love them both. This just makes me want to be an actor even more... perhaps when I am done with Nursing school I will go to Chicago and go to The Second City Improv school... might be interesting... Well, I will have to post more pictures, etc. soon!

Bridal Shower Virgin

So, we are throwing my roommate a bridal/lingerie shower because she is getting married in June... And since my other roommate and I are total strangers to the whole bridal shower notion, WE NEED HELP! So, we have a theme of Barbie Princesses (since she loves them) and we need ideas of what to do- games, food, presents, ANYTHING! So, please read and comment with ANY ideas! I love you all!

10 Things...

So, I have decided that I will find 10 things each week that I have learned about myself... So, if you decide that you like me and want to be my friend at all, you should definitely know these... :)

1. I am deathly afraid of birds. I highly enjoy looking at them and wearing jewelry with them on it but I hate encountering them. They are scary and I am always afraid that I am going to be attacked.

2. I love Disney movies. I mean who doesn't right? But the thing is, they are pretty amazing! I cannot decide which one is my favorite... I think its Aladdin at the moment, but that might be since I watched it tonight!

3. I love pictures. and weddings... haha, if I could just plan weddings I would. They are just so great and can be so catered to each couple. And I love looking at pictures... and taking them too!

4. I love being happy. It is definitely the best. Whenever I am happy I am always trying to convince myself that I shouldn't be happy. But why not? Being happy is so wonderful!

5. Speaking of being happy, I am definitely NOT a morning person. AHH! Lately it has been worse... haha. I am just too cranky when I wake up in the morning!

6. Movies and TV shows are my escape. I waste time watching TV shows and movies... but I have discovered that it is my release from the world. Not only are they entertaining but they put you into a world that isn't your own.

7. I hate writing in a journal. I have to do it for English and it just isn't working out for me... so I plan on continuing to blog my little heart out!

8. Fast Sundays are my least favorite... haha. All I can focus on is the fact that I haven't eaten anything and then I just start fantasizing about what I am going to eat when I get home. I know that this is probably just because I am human and I need to work on this.

9. There are a lot of things I need to work on. Especially my scripture reading. This week I am going to challenge myself to read my scritures everyday... maybe someone will read this and I will be accountable to them ;)

10. I love building snowmen! I built a HUGE one for the first time this week with Chas and Kelsie and Josh and some others from the ward and it was fantastic. I loved it! It does make your hands freezing though! Here are a couple of pics...

IKEA!

So, Hannah, a dear friend from high school, went on a field trip with me today to IKEA! I absolutely love IKEA, it makes me want to have my own house just so that I can buy things for it. And, their food is delicious! 10 meatballs for 1 dollar? This is unheard of! Crazy right? Well, we went and lo and behold, I started shopping which is never a great thing cause I need to save my money not spend it. Well... I ended up buying a duvet cover for my bed (my comforter is ug-ly) and some new silverware since mine are crap, some boxes for all my movies, and yep... That's pretty much it... It was amazing and if you haven't been I highly suggest you go soon and see for yourself what you are missing out on!

My Dilema... and the Root of the Problem

So, lately it has been brought to my attention that I am very picky when it comes to guys. (aka, my roommate Kelsie) I have finally figured out why. It is because I have seen too many shows and movies that have led me to a tainted very of the real man... So, I will take all of you through the hot men that I have found in my life. Some of them are not the usual "hottie" but bear with me and trust my great judgement.

First off... The gorgeous Ryan Reynolds. I absolutely adore this man! From the Proposal to Just Friends, he is just fantastic. One of my all time favorites! Second on the list... James Marsden. He is just so hot and I love him in 27 Dresses and in Hairspray, definitely a top man on my list!

Ok, so I know this next one might be a little harder to get... Eric Dane, aka McSteamy on Grey's Anatomy. He is seriously the hottest man... not Johnny Depp... I do love him, just not as much as Eric here. And this picture of him in a suit just makes him hotter in my book.

Ok... so since I am going to be a nurse, I have become obsessed with the show House. This one could be even harder to grasp but House is freaking hot! Oh my goodness! I'm not too sure about Hugh Laurie but House in himself is way hot. His blue eyes and just overall persona is just mind boggling... haha. So, he is dubbed my old man crush :)

Next up... Nick Zano, aka Vince off from What I Like About You. I absolutely love this show because of Amanda Bynes. But Vince also is just dreamy!

Last but definitely not least is James Roday, aka Shawn Spencer off of Psych. He is seriously THE HOTTEST MAN in my book. He is definitely THE complete package. Just watch the show, you will fall madly in love, just like me... And, I am a sucker for the motorcycle. :)
Ok, so that is the list. I can't think of anyone else at the moment. And... just a disclaimer-Channing Tatum is NOT on this list. He is hot, but stupid which makes me hate him and he cannot act to save his life. She's the Man is one of my favorite movies of all time and one of the only ones he is good in... and this would be the reason I refuse to see Dear John.
The End.
Much love!

80's Roller Skating Night for FHE!

So... I randomly decided a couple months ago to delete my blog. But, I forgot why I had started a blog in the first place. I am required to write in a journal for my English class but when that's over, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?? I don't know.

So I decided to start it up again.... There will be some changes and it will get a bit messy along the way but overall I think it will be fantastic :)

So, here are some pictures from our 80's roller skating night we had for FHE on Monday. It was so much fun. I learned 2 things:
1. I shouldn't do things that involve wheels on my feet- I am very uncoordinated.
2. I so belonged in the 80's- the music, the hair, the clothes- all me!

The Bestest Sight

So, I am home in Vegas for the weekend! Whenever I come home, we always come back at night and it is my favorite! About a half an hour out of Las Vegas, you see this bright light radiating over the mountains... It is fantastic. And then about ten minutes later, you see the lights of Vegas. It just makes you realize that you are home! So exciting. That is the thought for the day!

How Silly of Me

So, I had no clue that I could undelete my blog! YAY! I am way excited now- this means I didn't lose all of my blogging posts from before! So, basically life is going great! I will put the two post from my newly, unnecessary blog and put them on here... but for the mean time, I will continue to take awesome pictures of my life and inform all of you of my whereabouts and righteous doings... well perhaps not as righteous as one might be led to believe, but it fit in the saying :) I am so excited to start blogging again! YAY for life!

The Library

Thanks to Sarah Jane for prompting this post...

So, for those who do not know I watch my fair share of movies and T.V. shows... For all of you have seen the amazing movie Sydney White-

In the library, there are a plethora of floors. When I first started going into the library I was either on the first basement floor or just the first floor. Then, on the bus one day I overheard a conversation in which extraordinary cubicles on the fifth floor were being discussed. So, of course I was curious so I decided to go and explore. What I found was magnificent. Of course you are now wondering how a cubicle in a library could be magnificent. Well, it was. What I found was almost exactly what Amanda Bynes was studying in in that movie.

Short answer, what I found made me excited to go to the library. I now had a perfect place for studying in between classes. It was fantastic. Soon, I frequented the library enough, that I could almost call this little cubicle home. I named her Sydney in honor of the movie. Well, to this day I am still content, studying on the fifth floor of the library, in my little cubicle. Unfortunately, I have not had any experiences like Sydney just yet...

Thoughts on New Years...

I hate how when I go to the gym, all these people have suddenly decided that they need to get a gym membership and go to my gym. Whenever I go now, I am forced to park (well it would be my roommate doing the parking) in the back of the parking lot and exert energy BEFORE working out. This just does not make sense to me, I mean the whole reason I am going to gym is to workout, not workout in the parking lot.

Thought #2: I also hate how people wait until the date January 1st to change their lives. If something in your life needs changing then CHANGE IT! Dangit! You don't need to wait until a certain day of the year to make necessary changes in your life that most people are unlikely to keep anyway.

Oh well, other than that, I welcome the New Year, I will have to post at a later time what has changed in my life since last year. Thanks for reading!

Quote of the day, courtesy of my substitute chemistry professor

Ok, first of all, who has a substitute for a college class.... on the FIRST day of class! Ridiculous I know.... these were my thoughts exactly.

Well, the sub said the following in between his lecture on the logistics of the class and why chemistry is important in our lives...

"Common sense tends not to be so common these days..."

It was great, I laughed so hard. Probably a large majority of the people in the class were looking at me because I was so loud. Yep, loved it!

Journal

So, I confess, one of my weak spots is writing in a journal. Ah! So, as one of my New Year's Resolutions, I wanted to write in a journal. I got to my English class today and found out we have to write in one every day for a grade! I think this will definitely motivate me to write in one. Yep, that is all :)

Chapstick and Hand Soap

Ok... here are a few snip-its from the mind of me...

1. I love chapstick. My favorite would be this kind... My dad always used this chapstick and I think the smell just brings back good memories.

2. I love the hand soap from Bath and Body Works. It was on sale this weekend so I am all stocked up now. I love drying off my hands after washing them and for a few seconds having the most refreshing scent come from my hands. They always smell so good.
