Ok. Today was great, I got tons of stuff done, and I am super proud of myself. One thing I am probably the most proud of... getting my
familia to drink water! Ah! It is so exciting. My roommate turned me on to these water bottles a while back and I bought one and ever since I just want to drink water so I can drink out of my super cool water bottle. So, I made my family get them and they are hooked too! They are
Camelback water bottles. I just got them at Target, but I am sure they carry them at
Walmart or other camping goods stores. Seriously, addicting! I fill the thing to the top with ice and it lasts the whole day, depending on how much ice I eat ;). But seriously, I paid like fifteen bucks for this water bottle but have saved so much money because I don't have to buy cases of water bottles every week!
So go out and buy one of these, you won't regret it!
Alright, now on to a more serious question. I have been contemplating this for a while now and I want some feedback. So in the scriptures it talks about how God is no respector of persons... right? Well, if this is true then how are some people "elect" and held to a higher standard than others? I would appreciate any thoughts! But for now, I am signing off!
So i asked Jared your question and you should have seen his face. STUMPED. PERIOD. hahaha! I have no idea other than this: We are all created for a certain purpose. Each of us are held accountable to our own standards we set for ourselves as well as what the Lord expects of us. Just because someone is "elect" doesn't mean the Lord thinks that person is more awesome than the next. It just means that individual is more capable and the Lord utilizes our talents for the betterment of his children. And, like the scriptures say, those who have much, much is required and those who have little, little is required. But he requires something from everyone. No matter what. that is one way he is no respecter of persons. he still requires the very best out of each and every one of us. So, thats what i think. I'm going to bed now. night. ;)
ReplyDeleteAh! I totally agree Janea! This is what I was thinking too as I was contemplating it. Basically that some of us have more potential in different areas of our lives and that is what makes us "elect" but God isn't a respector of persons in that he expects the best we can give no matter who we are.
